About

As a User Experience (UX) Researcher I leverage my expertise in human cognition by helping Fortune 500 companies accomplish business objectives by improving user experience of their tools, products and services. Information about my work industry work can be found on the Writings page, and posts on the blog are a growing collection of resources relating specifically to user experience research methods, design, and technology.

My graduate studies focused on visual perception, attention and awareness. After obtaining my Ph.D., I spent 4 years as a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Diane Beck’s Attention and Perception lab at the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My academic work is described in the Research ToolsScience Papers and Teaching pages.
